In 1969, the Empire Room moved to what was then the Sert Room and this location was renamed the Hilton Room. Today, this room is known as the Vanderbilt Room.

The World Famous Empire Room of the Waldorf-Astoria, date unknown.

A postcard depicting the Empire Room after its renovation and relocation in 1969. On the reverse, the card reads: "New York City's most spectacular showcase of the stars. Superb dining at dinner and supper. Continuous dancing." In the press release announcing the opening of the new Empire Room, decorated by Ellen Lehman McClusky and located across the Foyer to the former site of the Sert Room, the room is described as having: "an elaborate decor in predominating colors of apricot and silver with an Empire feeling, the period from which the room's name derives. The upper walls of the room are apricot velvet with a passementerie work of applied silver rope, mirrors framed in silver leaf rope and gigantic silver leaf rope sconces. Three huge crystal Marie Therese chandeliers dominate the room..."

Promotional material regarding the Empire Room following the redecoration by Ellen Lehman McCluskey and its relocation across the Foyer to the former site of the Sert Room. Included are details of the new decor and entertainers: Anthony Newley, Shirley Bassey, Johnny Matthis and Petula Clark. There are 3 price plans: Deluxe Dinner Plan for $25, Dinner Show Plan for $20 and Supper Show Plan for $15. "Glitter, glamour and elegance. Priceless evenings at a price you can afford. Because the price is all-inclusive. You know exactly what you are going to spend. (Evening including gratuities and tax)..."

The paper seems to have been folded to letter size so perhaps this was mailed out.
